HELLO, I'M ORSOLYA

Welcome to my website. I am Orsolya Fülöp. Wife, mom, marketing manager and calligrapher.

I have always found calligraphy, the art of beautiful writing, fascinating. In the past, I have only made personalized gifts with calligraphy for my family and friends. Recently, I am happy to take on various other projects such as on-site calligraphy, engraving, wedding and event stationery (hand-made invitations, calligraphed, envelopes, seating cards, etc.), Custom Chalkboards for Events, Restaurants & Cafés.

I live in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg, and I am happy to work at other locations by arrangement.

Shodō (Japanese Calligraphy) workshop in Veszprém, Hungary 🇯🇵
As a calligrapher, I am always curious to explore new writing tools, techniques, and traditions, so I was very happy to take part in a Shodō (Japanese calligraphy) workshop as part of KYŌSŌ Festival in Veszprém, Hungary. Organized jointly by Japán Centrum Veszprém and Művészetek Háza Veszprém @muveszetekhazaveszprem , it creates a wonderful space for these different traditions and perspectives to meet.
Today’s workshop was such a great experience! The workshop was very professionally organized, and Matsukuma Anri was a wonderful instructor, kind, patient, and incredibly professional.
The workshop was designed to be accessible even for complete beginners, focusing on the fundamentals: not only the beauty of the characters, but also the rhythm of the brushstrokes, the harmony of movement, and the expression behind each stroke.
Coming from a different calligraphic background, I’m sure my first attempts would probably look rather clumsy to someone experienced in Japanese calligraphy. 😅 But I did have lots of fun trying a completely different writing tool and movement. Thank you so much for this experience ✨
